Enyo — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Tekniche Consulting ("we", "us", "Enyo") handles information in the Enyo mobile app ("the App"). Enyo is a personal finance app. Your financial data is stored locally on your device by default and is only sent off-device for the specific, optional features described below.
Who is the data controller
Tekniche Consulting, 31 Wolf Creek Str SE, Calgary, AB T2X 4V2, Canada. Contact: teknicheconsulting@gmail.com.
What data Enyo stores, and where
- Local-first financial data. Accounts, budgets, transactions, goals, debts, properties, investments, and settings are stored in an on-device database. By default this never leaves your device.
- Authentication. If you create an account, we process your email address (or Apple/Google sign-in identifier) to authenticate you, via our auth provider (Supabase). Sign-in tokens are stored in the device secure store.
- Optional cloud sync (off by default). If you enable Cloud Sync, your financial records are transmitted over HTTPS and stored in our backend (Supabase) so they can sync across your devices. You can disable sync at any time; disabling it does not auto-delete already-synced data (you can request deletion — see below).
- Optional encrypted exports (off by default). You can export an encrypted copy of your data to a file on your device (e.g. your Downloads folder) that you control and can move wherever you like. We never receive these exports.
Third parties that may receive data (only for features you turn on)
- Supabase (auth + optional cloud sync backend) — https://supabase.com/privacy.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google:
- Sign-in: basic profile / email (
userinfo.email, openid) to authenticate you, via our auth provider (Supabase). - Enyo does not access your Gmail, Google Drive, or any other Google data.
- Sign-in: basic profile / email (
- AI providers (optional). If you enable AI features (statement parsing, the
AI chat assistant, or the advisor), the relevant request — your question and a
summary of your finances — is sent to the provider you choose:
- On-device (Ollama): nothing leaves your device.
- Anthropic (Claude), directly or via our server proxy: used only to generate the reply; Anthropic does not use API data to train its models.
- Other configured providers (OpenAI, Google Gemini, xAI, Deepseek) receive the request per their own policies if you select them. AI features are off by default and require explicit opt-in.
- App stores (Apple, Google) process subscription purchases; we receive a purchase token/receipt to verify your subscription, not your payment details.
We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for advertising.
Device permissions
- Camera — to scan household-invite QR codes (only when you use that feature).
- Face ID / biometrics — to lock the app locally; not transmitted.
- Photo library — to import PDF statements you choose.
- Notifications — optional reminders.
Data retention & deletion
- Local data persists until you delete it or uninstall the App.
- For cloud-synced data and your account, you can request deletion from the app (Profile → Settings → Cloud Sync) or by emailing teknicheconsulting@gmail.com; we delete account data within 30 days.
Children
Enyo is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Your rights
Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR/CCPA) you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data. Contact teknicheconsulting@gmail.com.
Security
Data in transit uses HTTPS. Backups are encrypted (AES-256-GCM) with a passphrase you control. Sign-in tokens and API keys are kept in the OS secure store. No method is 100% secure.
Changes
We will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in-app.
